Thrustmaster reveals tips for calibrating PS4 and Xbox One wheels for Project CARS

Thrustmaster has revealed some tips, through multiple posts on Facebook, for calibrating PS4 and Xbox One wheels for the newly-available Project CARS. On the PlayStation 4 side, the company confirmed that the videogame is compatible with the T500, T300, T80, T100 racing wheels. With that said, only the T300 and T80 is fully supported by the system’s menu. If you are interested, you can purchase the products on Amazon with the following links: T500, T300, T80 and T100. Tips: Project CARS-PS4 (PLUG & PLAY & PRESETS)
Project CARS is now available in a lot of countries.
On the PS4™ versions, the T500, T300, T80, T100 racing wheels are PLUG & PLAY with included PRESETS.
-PLUG & PLAY
1)Plug your steering wheel when the PS4™ menu appears (for T300 & T80, the base’s switch must be put to the PS4 position before connecting the USB plug)
2)For T300 & T80 (only) press the “PS” button on the wheel and connect your wheel to your PROFILE.
3)For all wheels, launch the game using your GAMEPAD CONTROLLER (this is also possible with your wheel if have a T300 & T80).
4)For all wheels, when START appears in the game, just press the X button on your wheel.
5)You’re now ready to play with your Thrustmaster racing wheel!
6)Don’t turn off your gamepad controller (to enjoy the speaker functionality when you play with your wheel)
-PRESETS
You can adjust your wheel’s PRESETS in the OPTIONS / CONTROLS tab (e.g.: Calibrate Wheel, Calibrate Pedals, Calibrate ForceFeedback) and in CONFIGURATION (Axes DeadZone & Sensitivity, ForceFeeback Level, etc.).

Tips: Project CARS-PS4 (CALIBRATE WHEEL)
On the PS4™ version of the game, you can calibrate your wheel in the game’s options in order to improve the gameplay (and match same ratio as the cockpit view).
1) Go to OPTIONS / CONTROLS tab.
2) Press the SQUARE button on your wheel to launch the calibration.
3) Follow the instructions. Steering Lock:
– T300: put your wheel in the 900° position.
– T500: put your wheel in the 1080° position.
– T100: put your wheel in the 240° position.
– T80: put your wheel in the 240° position.
4) Press the X button on your wheel to save your calibration.
Once the process is completed, the Steering Lock will be automatically adjusted to your cars.

Thrustmaster also included instructions on calibrating the force feedback and rotation settings of both supported Xbox One steering wheels. Tips: Project CARS-XBOX ONE (CALIBRATE WHEEL)
On the XBOX ONE version of the game, you can calibrate your wheel in the game’s options in order to improve the gameplay (and match same ratio as the cockpit view).

2) Press the CROSS button on your wheel to launch the calibration.
3) Follow the instructions. Steering Lock:
– TX: put your wheel in the 900° position.
– SPIDER: put your wheel in the 240° position.
4) Press the A button on your wheel to save your calibration.
Once the process is completed, the Steering Lock will be automatically adjusted to your cars.

Tips: Project CARS-XBOX ONE™ (TX Force Feedback Management)
If you use the TX Racing wheel with the Xbox One version of the game, you can adjust the general Force Feedback level as follows:
– Go to OPTIONS / CONTROLS / CONFIGURATION tab.
– And go to OPTIONS / CALIBRATE FORCE FEEDBACK tab (by pressing RT = gas pedal).
In this tab, increasing TIRE FORCE will increase some force effects.

Project CARS was released on the 12th of May in North America. The same game came out five days earlier in Europe. In addition to the PC, the crowd-funded racing simulator is also available for the above-mentioned PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles. If you want the most immersive experience, you should play the newly-available racer with the aforementioned supported wheels.
