How to save in Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind

Saving your game can be somewhat confusing in the Re mind DLC expansion for Kingdom Hearts III. To find out how to do so, you can check out this guide.

When can you save in Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind?

You won’t be able to save in Kingdom Hearts 3 Re mind until you get through the third boss battle. Since there are a lot of non-interactive cut scenes in between these fights, it may take an hour or more to be able to reach the first save point in the DLC.

After the third boss fight and the subsequent cut scenes, you should end up on the Trial of Valediction area of The Skein of Severance. Here, you will find the screen save point to your right.

Should you save Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind to another save slot?

We highly recommend that you save Kingdom Hearts 3 Re mind to a brand-new save slot. This is because, in order to start the DLC, you will need a clear save file from beating the main story of Kingdom Hearts 3.

If you save over that clear save file while playing the DLC, then you won’t be able to play the Re mind expansion again until you beat the main story of Kingdom Hearts 3 over again and then create another clear save file.

How to load back to the main story of Kingdom Hearts 3 from the Re mind save file

If you want to load back to the main story of the game by using the save file you created in the Re Mind expansion, select Load from the main menu when you boot up Kingdom Hearts 3.

In the save file loading menu, scroll down to the save file that has been marked with the letters, “DLC.” With this save data highlighted, you should see the option to load to the main story or DLC episode.

On the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, you need to press the square button to continue the main story.

On the Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, you need to press the X button to go to the main story.

On the Nintendo Switch, you need to press the Y button to boot up the main story.
