Some players are not unlocking the Best Bromance trophy in the PC port of Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation 4. For the uninformed, the requirement is that Cloud must go on a date with Barret at Gold Saucer. According to various posters on the PlayStation Trophies forum, however, you can get yourself locked out of earning the trophy even if you managed to get the aforementioned situation.
The trophy glitch apparently occurs when players take advantage of the exploit in a scenario at Cosmo Canyon (where you can gain an infinite amount of affinity points by choosing “Go on,” then “Yeah, whatever…” and repeating the same choices again when talking to Barret about Avalanche).
While you can still take advantage of the exploit to get Best Bromance, you will apparently lock yourself out if you increase the affinity points with Barret over a certain amount. If you are concern about the glitch, it is probably best to avoid the aforementioned Cosmo Canyon exploit and acquire the trophy the normal way (you can find a guide to get Barret on a date here).
The PC port of Final Fantasy VII came out for the PlayStation 4 on the 5th of December in the North American region.
