It seems like Sony is partnering with 2K Games once again. Amazon updated the pages for NBA 2K15 with new PS3 and PS4 covers that have “Exclusive Content” stripes. Find the new covers and preorder the videogame right now on Amazon.
The e-commerce website did not post any info at what the exclusive content will be. For NBA 2K14, the Playstation 4 version got an extra jewelry and accessory pack plus a Sony-branded court in the Court in the Park multiplayer mode. The videogame from last year was also exclusively advertised on the Playstation 4 and ended up being a big seller on the next-gen system.
Renewing the partnership is not a surprising move from Sony since they may be countering the partnership Microsoft has with Electronic Arts with FIFA 15 and Madden NFL 15. It seems like both Sony and Microsoft are spending more than ever for exclusive content and advertising rights.
NBA 2K15 is available starting on the 7th of October. Aside from the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, the videogame is shipping at the same time for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Kevin Durant, the current reigning MVP of the NBA, was chosen as the cover athlete.
