CD Projekt Red discusses cutting content in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

witcher3-pointingCD Projekt Red’s Peter Gelencser was recently featured in a three hour Twitch live stream event for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. During a Q&A session, the senior level designer was asked about what was the most difficult feature to remove from the videogame.

The developer replied by saying that there weren’t any cut content that they deemed were too important as the team ended up putting basically everything they wanted into the sequel. He also mentioned that they were driven by the challenges, instead of being limited, during development. With that said, Peter Gelencser did acknowledge that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt suffered several delays due to the ambitiousness of the RPG, asking fans to excuse CD Projekt Red for the postponements.

The delays ended up being worth it as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is receiving high review scores with a current Metascore of 92 on Metacritic. The RPG is among the highest-rated games on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

The sequel is out now on the two current-gen consoles, in addition to the PC platform, in North America. If you haven’t done so already, you can purchase the potential Game of the Year contender with this link on Amazon.
