New gameplay screenshots for the home version of Star Wars: Battle Pod

Bandai Namco has revealed new gameplay screenshots for the upcoming home version of Star Wars: Battle Pod. You can check out the arcade aerial battle game below.

As you can see, the game includes five stages based on Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strike Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. It will feature some of the more iconic action sequences from the original trilogy. Bandai Namco will also be adding more stages that will be coming out at a later date.

For the uninformed, Star Wars: Battle Pod will be made available for $35,000 in the North American region starting on June 18. You can also purchase a premium edition for $100,000 as that arcade cabinet comes with leather seats and is synchronized to move along with the game. The owner’s name will also be included in a plate (along with a serial number) and game credits.

The home version of Star Wars: Battle Pod won’t be the only major gaming release for the franchise. Electronic Arts will also be launching Star Wars Battlefront.
