McFarlane Toys Batman: Arkham Asylum Figures Received June 2020 Release Date

McFarlane Toys expanded its DC Multiverse line with two figures based on the acclaimed 2009 video game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. The new collectibles, featuring Batman and his nemesis The Joker, were designed to capture the unique and gritty aesthetic established by Rocksteady Studios’ influential title. In early May 2020, product listings on Amazon confirmed that both figures were scheduled for a release in the United States on June 15, 2020. Pre-orders were made available at the time the listings appeared.

Both figures are part of the 7-inch scale collection, a standard size for the McFarlane DC Multiverse line that allows for significant detail. They also feature the company’s signature “Ultra Articulation” design, which incorporates up to 22 moving parts. This high number of joints provides a wide range of motion, enabling collectors to pose the figures in dynamic stances that can replicate scenes and promotional art from the game.

The Dark Knight Figure

The Batman figure is modeled directly on his appearance in Batman: Arkham Asylum, featuring the heavily armored, combat-worn Batsuit from the game. To complement the figure, McFarlane Toys included a comprehensive set of accessories reflecting the character’s in-game arsenal. The package contains a Grapnel Launcher, an open Batarang, a folded Batarang for storing on his belt, and a Bomb Cannister. A circular black display base is also included for stability. As a bonus for collectors, the box contains a collectible art card. The front of the card displays artwork of Batman from the game, while the back features a character biography.

The Joker Figure

The Joker figure captures the villain’s distinct look from Arkham Asylum, complete with his purple pinstripe suit and menacing grin. Like the Batman figure, The Joker is built to the 7-inch scale and uses the Ultra Articulation system for maximum posability. His accessories reflect his chaotic and theatrical personality. The figure comes packaged with a blaster pistol and two chattering teeth, one of his signature gag-based weapons. A display base is provided to help with posing. The Joker also comes with a collectible art card featuring his game artwork on the front and a character biography on the back, maintaining consistency with other figures in the DC Multiverse line.
