Best Buy has listed what appears to be the release date for the upcoming PlayStation 4 videogame, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below. The action-RPG is expected by the retailer to come out on the 13th of October. This date falls on a Tuesday, which is when a majority of new releases are launched in the United States region.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below is a spin-off to the mainline series. Instead of the traditional turn-based gameplay, Heroes mixes the hack-and-slash styles found in the Dynasty Warriors franchise with elements mixed in from Dragon Quest.
The videogame was first released in Japan on the 26th of February. Since a few of the recent Dragon Quest games were not localized in the west, a lot of fans thought that Heroes won’t be translated as well. Fortunately, Square Enix recently confirmed that they will be releasing the game for the western regions. With that said, only the PlayStation 4 version is launching outside of Japan.
Square Enix is going to hold a press conference at E3 2015. So you can expect to hear more about Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below in the near future. If you are interested, you can preorder the latest Dragon Quest game with this link on Amazon.
