2K has replied to several of the issues fans are currently having with WWE 2K15. The first is the use of duplicate wrestlers like two versions of Alberto Del Rio, Batista, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan even though the entrance videos remain the same. The company said that the entrances aren’t simple copy and paste jobs while the roster is different every year depending on a game’s features:
@ShirlShocked that entrance video and look isn’t a copy and paste job. Each year the roster is different based on game features.

@TheVlogPod not an excuse at all — it’s the truth, friend. It has been like that since Road to WM.

2K was also adamant that the series did not take steps backwards although some features (like story designer) were removed in WWE 2K15, adding that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are different as they were built from the ground up. Thus, it should be getting better reviews than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases:
@TheOneDH we didn’t take steps backward. Our PS4/Xbox One experience is a different game. One built from the ground up starting w/ gameplay

@thejoecal yes. We devoted a lot of time and energy to the new experience. Look for more!

The company also addressed the outdated attires and roster choices. In particular, an explanation was provided on why the current entrances and ring attires of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were not up to date. This will be different in the PS4 and Xbox One releases, however:
@CMPunk434WWEFan when you build a roster, you plan it out. Process is like a train moving forward. Can’t go back after you’ve started.
— WWE 2K (@WWEgames) October 29, 2014
@CMPunk434WWEFan that’s how we can finish the roster in the time that we have.
— WWE 2K (@WWEgames) October 29, 2014
@CMPunk434WWEFan being up to date (w/ attires) is not a perfect science and not like sports games. We have a solution this yr for PS4/XB1.

As for Alicia Fox, it appears that she won’t be on the roster after all even though she was part of the promotional campaign:
@emmalution1 not this year.
