If you haven’t heard already, Square Enix is going to hold an E3 2015 press conference that will take place at 9AM PDT on Tuesday, June 16. The publisher seems to have gotten their act together with a lot of great upcoming games after disappointing many fans last generation. Below, you can find our list of titles that we expect to show up during the company’s press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Most likely Square Enix games to appear at E3 2015
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below – Square Enix has already confirmed that Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and The Blight Below is being localized for the North American region. The game mixes the Dragon Quest RPG franchise with Musou-style gameplay. So it will most definitely be at the Square Enix press conference. You can preorder the PS4 game with this page on Amazon.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Mankind Divided takes place two years following the events of Human Revolution. Adam Jensen has gotten several new abilities and will be able to sneak his way past all encounters. We should be able to hear even more about the sequel at the event. You can reserve Deus Ex: Mankind Divided via this link.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Heavensward – The popular Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is going to be getting its first major expansion soon. In addition to raising the level cap, Heavensward will also add new jobs, quests and other new content. With the DLC coming out shortly after the event, expect Square Enix to feature the expansion heavily at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. If you are interested, you can preorder Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Heavensward with this link.
Final Fantasy XV – Square Enix has already released a playable demo of Final Fantasy XV to go along with specially marked copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. In a recent update, the company confirmed that the same trial version is getting a new update to address several issues from the original release. Thus, it would make a lot of sense if the company is also showcasing the game in some form at E3. You can order the final game via this page.
Just Cause 3 – The sequel to one of the better open-world games of last-generation will further expand upon the grappling hook and parachute elements of Just Cause 2. Not to mention that more verticality has been added to the already massive environments. E3 2015 would be the perfect opportunity to provide a huge blowout to one of the bigger releases of this holiday season. You can preorder Just Cause 3 here.
Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness – In a somewhat present surprise, Square Enix recently announced that the next Star Ocean installment is in development for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. E3 2015 would be a great time for the publisher to confirm that the JRPG will be getting North American localization.
Rise of the Tomb Raider – After the successful reboot of Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamic is returning again with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Fans can expect the development team to further expand on the gameplay with a weather system, day-night cycle and new stealth mechanics. Since the upcoming game is exclusive (for now) to the PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360, it will most likely show up at Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference as well as the one held by Square Enix. You can preorder the next Tomb Raider title with this link.
Outside Shot of Appearing
Bravely Second: End Layer – Square Enix decided to skip the localization of Bravely Default, which ended up selling surprisingly well when it was published by Nintendo. After the success of the first game, Square Enix may want to publish the sequel in the west themselves, which would make an E3 announcement probable.
Dissidia Final Fantasy – The reboot of the Dissidia Final Fantasy was recently announced. While the game has only been confirmed for arcades, it will be running on modified PS4 hardware. So we wouldn’t be a surprised if Square Enix would officially announce a PlayStation 4 port of the fighting game during the event.
Final Fantasy Type-1 – The above-mentioned Final Fantasy Type-0 HD came with a teaser for what appears to be a sequel. With that said, the director of the first game, Hajime Tabata, is currently busy with Final Fantasy XV. So an E3 2015 announcement for Final Fantasy Type-1 appears to be somewhat unlikely.
Hitman – Square Enix Montreal has been working on a new Hitman game for quite some time with an official unveiling expected to occur sometime later this year. So there is a chance that a new installment could be revealed in some form at E3 2015.
Kingdom Hearts 3 – The development has been a little rocky for Kingdom Hearts 3 as Tetsuya Nomura decided to leave the Final Fantasy XV project in order to focus entirely on the next game from the Kingdom Hearts series. Not to mention that the original engine has been replaced with the Unreal Engine 4. Hopefully, Square Enix will provide some sort of update at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. You can preorder the KH3 with this page.As you can see above, Square Enix has plenty of announced and announced games that they could show off at E3 2015. So make sure to check out the company’s press conference at the event on the 16th of June.
