Zone of the Enders Easter Egg weapon appear in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The 30-minute long Gamescom 2015 gameplay video of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain contains a neat extra for fans of the Zone of the Enders series. In the upcoming videogame, Big Boss will be able to equip the Hand of Jehuty as a secondary weapon.

For the uninformed, Jehuty is a giant mech from the Zone of the Enders series. It has the ability to move almost instantly to a short distance thanks to its Zero Shift ability.

In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the Hand of Jehuty replaces the red and gold metallic hand worn by Big Boss with a blue and orange theme one to match the colors of the giant mech. Players can use it by firing a “wisp” weapon at the enemy. Doing so will pull the target back to the player almost instantaneously, leaving an opening for a CQC attack. You can check out a few screen caps of the secondary weapon in action below:

It is unclear how exactly the Hand of Jehuty will be unlock in The Phantom Pain. Since the weapon appears to be quite powerful, it may take some effort to acquire the Easter Egg.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on Sept. 1 for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. If you are interested and haven’t done so already, you can preorder the latest MGS game from Amazon via this link.
