State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is getting a Day One Edition

State-of-Decay-Year-One-Survival-EditionUpdate: It looks like there won’t be a Day One Edition after all as Amazon has updated its listing to remove any mention of a special edition.

Original Story: It looks like Microsoft will be releasing a Day One Edition for the upcoming Xbox One game, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition. Amazon has listed the special edition of the physical disc release for the product.

The listing did not indicate what the bonuses will be for the Day One Edition of the remastered releases. In the past, Microsoft included a commemorative box art as well as DLC for games such as Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome Day and Sunset Overdrive. So we may see something similar with the upcoming release.

For the uninformed, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition on the Xbox One offers various improvements compared to the original Xbox 360 release. One of which is, of course, the graphics, as the resolution has been bumped up to 1080p while the lighting, textures and other visual elements have been enhanced. The major Breakdown and Lifeline DLC expansions have also been added while new exclusive content will be appearing in the Year-One Survival Edition. Last but not least, owners of the original version can also get a new character.

State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is releasing for the Xbox One in both digital and physical formats on the 28th of April.
