Masaaki Yamagiwa, Producer of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio, has answered two fan questions regarding Bloodborne (which you can preorder right now with this link on Amazon) hidden away in the comments area of the PlayStation Blog.
One of the inquires is about whether or not the Nightmare Edition of the videogame, or something similar, will be coming out in the U.S. Unfortunately, Mr. Yamagiwa is not aware of any plans to do so:
I am not aware of any plans beyond what has been announced at this time. Thank you very much for your excitement and interest!
For the uninformed, Bloodborne Nightmare Edition was recently announced in Europe. Along with the videogame, it also comes with an art book with exclusive concept art, bell trinket, digital soundtrack, gothic notebook, quill & red ink set, steelbook case, “Top Hat” Messenger skin along with a book tin to store all the content.
Another fan was concerned about the new randomized dungeon element being added. He or she would rather have a “well-crafted” static dungeon than a “meh” one that changes every time. In response, Masaaki Yamagiwa said that the randomization is limited to the Chalice Dungeon while the rest of the areas are not procedural. The producer also believes that having that new random generation element will increase replay value and keep the game fresh:
Please understand that Chalice Dungeon represents only one of many areas in the game, the rest of which are not procedural in nature. Thus, it will allow for added replayability/freshness and unique multiplayer opportunities without diminishing the qualities you mention loving. Thank you for your faith in the team and your support. Hopefully the above explanation addresses your wariness!
If you haven’t already, you can take a look at a few screens featuring the Chalice Dungeon below this paragraph:
Bloodborne is releasing on the 24th of March in 2015 as a PS4 exclusive.
