The HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset uses an USB sound card audio control box to provide virtual 7.1 surround sound. It can be connected using the USB 7.1 on PCs and Macs in addition to being “stereo compatible” with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One (you will need the Xbox One Stereo Adapter, which is not included, in order to use it) and mobile platforms. Its speakers use 53mm drives neodymium magnets. Since the product is designed for plug and play, there is no need to search for a driver on the PC and/or Mac.

In terms of the microphone, the product is advertised to come with a detachable mic that has noise and echo cancelling features. Last but not least, the package also includes memory foam ear pads although you will also get another set of Velour ear pads.
