New version of Xbox One Wireless Controller with Play & Charge Kit Bundle listed with release date

In addition to a new version of the Xbox One Wireless Controller, it looks like Microsoft will also be releasing a new iteration of the Xbox One Wireless Controller with Play & Charge Kit Bundle in the near future. Amazon has listed the revised product with a release date set for 14th of July in the North American region. You can preorder the accessory bundle here. You can also check out the packaging of the bundle underneath this paragraph.

As you can see above, the side of the pack shot mentions that the Xbox One Wireless Controller included in the bundle now comes with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack. The other items included are the 9 foot USB to Micro-USB charging cable and the rechargeable lithium ion battery pack.

If you haven’t heard already, the new Xbox One Wireless Controller comes with several other new features in addition to the 3.5mm stereo headset jack. Users will be able to use mic monitoring along with being able to change the headset volume and voice chat/game audio balance. Last but not least, you no longer have to plug the controller directly into the Xbox One to get firmware updates.

So, if you are planning to buy the new Xbox One gamepad along with a rechargeable battery, you should check out the new version of the Xbox One Wireless Controller with Play & Charge Kit Bundle when it launches.
