Ed Boon has commented on the new Gear System customization in the upcoming Injustice 2. In a press release sent to us, the creative director at NetherRealm Studios stated that the new features will “change the way fans play fighting games” and “push the genre forward.” Take a look at his comments below:
In Injustice™ 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games. We’re always interested in pushing the genre forward and allowing players to customise and level-up their favourite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains is a significant leap.
David Haddad, the president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, also added the following statement:
Expanding the DC Universe in games continues to be one of our top priorities, and Injustice™ 2 showcases amazing gameplay and an original story to bring the characters to life for players. NetherRealm Studios is offering fans an experience of customising and battling with DC’s iconic characters in an entirely new way.
For the uninformed, the Gear System provides a loot drop system so that you can customize the look and abilities of the iconic characters. As a result, your Batman should look and play different when compared to others.
