At Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima announced a new wolf companion for Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. When fully grown, the beast can be sent into missions with the hero. While that is certainly cool, the announcement could have also hinted at something more exciting for long-time fans.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set in the 1980s which is also when the Sniper Wolf grew up. The Foxhound member was one of the bosses that fought against Solid Snake in the first Metal Gear Solid game. She was born in the war-torn Middle East and would eventually be recruited by Big Boss and joining Fox Hound.
One of the locations in Phantom Pain is Afghanistan; so there is a chance that Sniper Wolf may have became infatuated with wolves at Mother Base. She could have also learned her sniping skills from Quiet, the mysterious scantily clad sniper. Of course, all of this is just speculation until we could get our hands with the final game.
The videogame is launching next year. It is coming to the four major HD consoles from Microsoft and Sony: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If you haven’t already, click here to preorder The Phantom Pain on Amazon.
