Sony already released The Last of Us Remastered earlier this summer but that was only for the PlayStation 4. A listing from Amazon.fr mentions that the publisher could be launching another edition of the videogame soon, this time for the PlayStation 3. The page only mentions the title, “The Last of Us: Game of the Year Edition,” and nothing else.
Looking at past re-releases of videogames, it shouldn’t be too far-fetched to predict that all DLC will be included. Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Grounded Bundle and Left Behind were added after the launch of The Last of Us on the PlayStation 3 last year. These were included in the PlayStation 4 version.
Naughty Dog is no stranger to re-releasing Game of the Year editions in the past. Their previous two projects, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, also got the same treatment.
The Last of Us won a lot of Game of the Year awards (over 200, in fact, according to Sony). The original was made available starting on the 13th of June last year. The enhanced PlayStation 4 version launched on the 29th of July of this year. Naughty Dog’s current project is Uncharted 4: Among Thieves, which you can go preorder right now by clicking this link.
