GameStop has put up a product page for the Wii U Pokken Tournament Pro Pad, revealing some more photos. You can check out some images of the controller, as well as its U.S. packaging, below this paragraph.
The Wii U Pokken Tournament Pro Pad is officially licensed by Nintendo and connects to the Wii U via a wired USB connection. Its shape and button layout is designed for the upcoming Pokken Tournament videogame. So, if you are planning to play the upcoming Wii U title competitively, you might want to take a look at Hori’s Pro Pad. In addition to GameStop, you can preorder the product on Amazon via this link.
Pokken Tournament comes from the same company responsible for the Tekken series. Players will be able to control select pocket monsters (the roster so far includes Blaziken, Charizard, Gardevoir, Gengar, Lucario, Machamp, Pikachu, Pikachu Libre, Sceptile, Suicune and Weavile). There are also support characters that will aid you in battle as well.
Pokken Tournament was first released for the arcade in 2015. The Wii U port will be coming out in Japan on March 18, 2016. Although a North American release date has not yet been announced, the game should come out at around the same time as the above-mentioned Wii U Pokken Tournament Pro Pad.
