The new PS4 camera has the same features as the old one. The only difference is the cylindrical shape, which makes it easier to adjust when compared to the original model.
For the uninformed, the camera is used for multiple purposes. One of which is being able to broadcast yourself while streaming a game on Twitch and other supported applications. It can also be ultilized to navigate the system menus while certain games, such as Tearaway Unfolded and Until Dawn, also take advantage of the accessory.
Of course, you will need a PlayStation 4 camera in order to use the PlayStation VR headset, which will be released on the 13th of October. The accessory is used to track the PlayStation Move controllers as well.
Speaking of which, Sony also released the PlayStation Move Controllers Two Pack in North America. The bundle comes with the same motion controllers that were originally released for the PlayStation 3. However, the Move sticks have been rebranded for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR.
