Sony is now taking digital preorders for Bloodborne in the European territories. A listing from the Sony Entertainment Network web store mentions a previously-unannounced tidbit as that the maximum amount of online players in a single session in the videogame will be five.
In comparison, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 feature support for up to four players online in one session. Including yourself, you can summon two other players as helpers. You can also be invaded by another player, bringing the total to four.
With that said, From Software is going to be increasing the maximum amount of players with the re-release of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin to six players on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Direct X11.
Sony has only shown off the cooperative gameplay for Bloodborne so far. Like the Souls games, you can summon two other players to help you on your quest. So it’s possible that the remaining two players may act as invaders.
Bloodborne comes out on the 17th of March. If you haven’t already, you can preorder the physical disc and the official strategy guide with the next links from Amazon: Bloodborne and Bloodborne Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide.
