U.S. box art revealed for Devil’s Third

Amazon has updated the product page for Devil’s Third, revealing the cover for the Wii U exclusive. You can find the North American box art, and compare it against the European cover, below this paragraph.

As you can see above, Nintendo decided to show off the main character of the game with a closer vantage point in the U.S. box art. The publisher also opted for a fiery background instead of a glass shattering one.

Devil’s Third was first released in Japan on the 4th of August. It would arrive in European territories starting on the 28th of the same month. Nintendo of America recently confirmed that the same game will be launching on the 11th of December in the North American region.

Devil’s Third is the latest game from Tomonobu Itagaki, who is best known for the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. The project was originally slated to arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3and PC platforms before the original publisher, THQ, had to file for bankruptcy.

As a result, Nintendo was able to secure publishing rights for Devil’s Third, making it console exclusive to the Wii U (a free to play multiplayer-only release is being planned for the PC).
