Mia Putrino, Associate Product Marketing Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America, has answered several fan questions from the comments portion of a PlayStation.Blog post. Two of the inquiries were about the potential support for a Batman Arkham Knight custom audio profile in the Headset Companion App. She confirmed that Sony is planning to add a specific mode to the PlayStation headsets just for the videogame.
When asked how exactly are the custom audio profiles created, Mia Putrino mentioned that Sony work together with developers so that they sound will come out the way it was intended on the PllayStation Siler Wired, PlayStation Gold Wireless and PlayStation Pulse Elite Edition Wireless headsets. Check out her explanation below:
If you have one of our PlayStation Headsets (Pulse Elite, Gold or Silver), you can download the Headset Companion App from the PlayStation Store to get custom audio modes.
When we make an audio mode for a specific game, we work directly with the developers to create a mix for the headset that pumps out sound the way they had intended. We want to take the guesswork out of messing with an audio system and provide you with an easy solution that’s really going to enhance your experience!
We hope you enjoy it!
Last but not least, another fan wanted to know if Sony will be adding in a system transfer feature for the PlayStation 4 with a future firmware patch. She replied by saying that she will pass on that inquiry to the team responsible for the system’s software updates. She also said that fans should also keep suggesting any other features they would like to see to Sony:
Thanks for the feedback. I’m definitely happy to pass this one on to our fellows working on future system software updates. You guys give us amazing suggestions that help us shape the future of the console. Keep them coming!
