Sony has clarified the compatibility between PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset and PlayStation VR. In Episode 32 of the PS I Love You XOXO podcast, Greg Miller revealed that a representative from Sony told him that the two accessories can be used at the same time on the PlayStation 4.
This is because the processing unit of the PlayStation VR only takes up one of the two available USB ports, leaving the other port available for the PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset.
For the uninformed, the PlayStation Gold uses a wireless connection as it comes with an USB adaptor that must be plugged into the PS4. If you are interested, you can purchase the first-party gaming headset via this link on Amazon.
