The release date has been listed by Amazon for the upcoming Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. The 3DS exclusive game is expected to come out on the 11th of August. If you are interested and haven’t done so already, you can preorder the sequel right now with this link on the retailer’s website.
For the uninformed, Deep Crimson takes place right after the first game of the series. The girls of the Hanzo and Hebijo Shinobi Academies return. Instead of fighting against each other, however, they will be teaming up to take down a new threat.
Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson features improved graphics as well as an enhanced dressing room (including the ability to set up the girls in numerous poses to take pictures). Another new element being introduced in the sequel is co-op mode. In addition to battling alongside your friend, you two can also team up to perform tag team attacks.
The original game, Senran Kagura Burst, was released on November 14, 2013. The first installment was only made available as a digital download on the Nintendo e-Shop. Thankfully, XSEED, the publisher of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, is including a physical release for the direct sequel.
