It looks like the release date has been discovered for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Multiple retailers, including Microsoft Store and Rakuten, are expecting that the videogame will be launching on the 24th of February in the U.S.
The launch falls on Tuesday, which, of course, is when most new releases are made available to the public. Fans previously speculated that Kojima Productions was going to be making an announcement on Christmas Day based on several hints made by Hideo Kojima. It looks like that is may be related to the release date after all.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set nine years after Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The follow-up added some new elements such as having a partner in missions, Mother Base management, day-night cycle, real-time weather and a lot more. Fans that complained about the short length of Ground Zeroes should be happy to know that the next release is going to be exponentially bigger. Not to mention that it will also come with Metal Gear Online 3, which was shown off recently during The Game Awards.
