From Software’s classic RPG, King’s Field ll, is re-releasing on PS3, PSP and Vita

FromSoftware_BlackLogo_1434385630King’s Field ll will be the next PSOne Classic to be re-released on the PlayStation Store. The Entertainment Software Rating Board has rated the videogame for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita platforms with Sony Computer Entertainment as the publisher. The game ended up with a Teen rating for violence.

King’s Filed II was released for the PSOne in North America on November 20, 1996. The game was actually called King’s Filed III in Japan. This is because the first game in the series was never released in the U.S. region. A similar situation occurred in the Final Fantasy series when Final Fantasy IV originally came out in North America as Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy VI as Final Fantasy III.

For the uninformed, King’s Filed II is a role-playing game from the first-person perspective. The series is the spiritual predecessor to Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

If you haven’t heard already, From Software is currently developing Dark Souls III, which was officially announced at E3 2015. The sequel is slated to launch sometime in early 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. If you are interested, Dark Souls III is available for preorder with this page on Amazon.
