The release date and more details are now available for the Hori Fighting Commander 4 Controller on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The gamepad, which is available for preorder with this page on Amazon, is expected to come out on the 30th of April. Unfortunately, no pictures of the product have been posted yet. With that said, you can check out a photo of the Hori Fighting Commander 3 below this paragraph to give you an idea of what the new version might look like.
The fourth Fighting Commander gamepad is advertised as the “ultimate gamepad” for games in the fighting and classic arcade genres. The PS4 and PS3 controller has a rotatable directional pad, six face button layout as well as a L/R button toggle switch that will let you use all eight buttons with just your right hand. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the d-pad as well as change the turbo setting.
The listing mentioned that the form factor is designed to give players a better grip while the wired connection is used to decrease input lag. Last but not least, the internal rubber membranes have been improved to provide better accuracy and durability. The only downside is that it won’t be compatible with games that require analog input.
