Capcom’s Greg Moore has talked more about some of the lingering questions surrounding the release of the upcoming Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. The Senior Community and Online Specialist first addressed the situation regarding the lack of a physical release for the videogame outside of Japan. He said that the decision did not pan out, adding that the decision was pretty complicated.
With that said, he still hopes that fans will support the game. He also believed that the physical release in Japan will have English audio as well for those who are interested in importing. Check out his multiple Twitter posts on the matter below:
@safnkhan OH–totally misunderstood you. Anyway, “refuse” is probably the wrong word, but disc ver. didn’t pan out for the West in this case

@safnkhan Not sure about subtitles, but I believe the JPN version has both VO languages.

Greg Moore also discussed Vergil’s storyline in Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. He revealed that Capcom is focusing on adding new gameplay experiences instead of revealing any new plot points. With that said, the playable character will be getting a proper introduction and ending:
@LeonBelmontX The focus is definitely on new action experiences, not new narrative revelations. There’s a new intro & ending for Vergil tho.

In addition to Vergil, you will also be able to play as both Lady and Trish in the remastered release of Devil May Cry 4. The port comes with several extras, including a new mode and gameplay balance tweaks, as well. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is expected to come out later in the summer for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
