Two new color variations of the updated DualShock 4 are now available in the North American region. For the uninformed, the updated DualShock 4 gamepads originally came with the new PS4 slim models. It was later made available as a standalone accessory in addition to also being bundled with the PS4 Pro, a updated console with better specs when compared to the original and slim models.
The updated version of the controller adds a new light strip on the top of the touch pad. This apparently makes the pad easier to track with the PlayStation 4 camera while also making it convenient for players who want to check out the light indicator.
Another new feature is the ability to directly connect the controller to the PlayStation 4 via an USB connection. The older models only use the wired connection for charging the internal battery.
