The add-on is designed to be compatible with all existing wheels on the market. More specifically, it should work with the Ferrari F1 Wheel Integral T500, T300RS, T300 Ferrari GTE and T500RS wheels on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. It should also be compatible with the TX Racing Wheel on the Xbox One.
One other unique feature is upgradeable firmware. The Thrustmaster TH8A Add-On Gearbox Shifter comes equipped with internal memory that is used to adjust a few elements (shift gear resistance, plate position, etc). The ability to upgrade the firmware of the add-on is important because Microsoft and Sony have been releasing new system updates periodically that could inadvertently break some features of the accessory.
