Final Fantasy Box Set (FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX): Official Game Guides released

The Final Fantasy Box Set (FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX): Official Game Guides have been released in the United States region. If you are interested, the strategy guide bundle is available for purchase on Amazon with this link.

If you haven’t been paying attention, the product comes with the official strategy guides for Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 and Final Fantasy 9. Instead of the originals, Prima Games decided to update the books with new content and high-resolution screenshots. This is especially great for Final Fantasy 9, which got an infamously barren guide that was paired with Square Enix’s PlayOnline service at launch.

Along with the three guides, the product also comes with a collectible slipcase with magnetic clasp along with deluxe ribbon bookmarks and three sealed lithographs featuring artwork from the games.

Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 and Final Fantasy 9 were released for the original PS1 console. The same three titles were also made downloadable for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita as PSOne Classics via the PlayStation Store.

Of course, Square Enix confirmed at E3 2015 that Final Fantasy 7 is being remade. Along with new graphics, the new game is expected to come with changes to the story and gameplay. It is slated to come out first for the PlayStation 4.
