The file size has been revealed by the PlayStation Store shopping website for the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Unravel. According to the product page when viewed on the PS4, the platformer is expected to take up 3.1 GB of free space on the hard disk drive of Sony’s current-gen console (the browser storefront showed a slightly lower 2.8 GB requirement).
Unravel was officially announced during Electronic Arts’ press conference at E3 2015. The upcoming title is a physic-based platforming game starring Yarny, a character that is made of yarn. To get through the levels, which is based on areas you find in Northern Scandinavia, you will need to take advantage of the protagonist’s unique abilities such as swinging from one tree branch to another in close proximity.
Unravel will be released for the PlayStation 4, in addition to the Xbox One and PC platforms, on the 9th of February. So, if you are a fan of the platforming genre, you might want to check out the upcoming original game.
Sony has bundled either a 500 GB or 1 TB internal storage drive with every PlayStation 4 unit released so far.
While the PlayStation 4 does not support the ability to run games off of external HDD, users can easily replace the internal hard drive with an alternative. If you are interested in doing so, you might want to take a look at the OWC DIY 2.0TB Drive Upgrade Bundle for PS4 with this link.
