Complementary products to buy along with Until Dawn to optimize your experience

Until Dawn is one of the biggest surprises of 2015. The cinematic adventure game has gotten some rave reviews due to its shockingly good story with many branching points along with the creative use of the butterfly effect. As a result, your choices will determine who will live and who will die.

If you are planning to pick up Until Dawn, we also suggest picking up several complementary products so that you can get the most out of your experience with the PlayStation 4 exclusive. You can find our recommended add-ons with our buying guide below.

Until Dawn: Your Companion

If you want to delve deeper into the videogame, we suggest downloading the companion application. This will allow you to find out more about the mysterious Blackwood Pines area along with additional background details of the main characters. There are also features such as character tests and being able to connect directly to the videogame. Best of all, the app is free to download. You can do so with the following links: Android version and iTunes version.

PlayStation 4 Camera

Until Dawn is one of the few games that take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Camera. When turned on, the accessory will capture your reaction to the numerous jump scares in the survival-horror game. So, if you would like to relive these terrifying experiences, you should definitely play the game with the official first-party accessory. You can purchase the PS4 camera with this link from Amazon.

PS4 Headset

Until Dawn is oozing with atmosphere. If you want to get the most out of the experience, however, we recommend playing the game with a headset so that you will be able to hear all the creepy noises coming from the shadows. Not to mention that the jump scares will be even more intense as opposed to playing through standard speakers.

Sony has already released a custom Until Dawn audio profile, with 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound, for its free-to-download Headset Companion App. The supported gaming headsets are the PlayStation Silver Wired, PlayStation Gold and PlayStation Pulse Elite Edition Wireless. The silver version is the cheapest of the three but pales in comparison to the other two in terms of quality. So we recommend getting either the gold or elite.

You can check out the three complementary products for the game with the following pages on Amazon: PlayStation Silver Wired Headset, PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset and PlayStation Pulse Elite Edition Wireless Headset.

Similar Games

If you end up enjoying Until Dawn, there are also a few similar games that we highly recommend getting as well.

The first is Heavy Rain. While not technically a survivor-horror game, there are some intense and thrilling sequences. Not to mention that, like Until Dawn, once a character dies, the story will continue on without him or her. This will lead to many branching paths, and ultimately, different endings. You can purchase the PS3 version of Heavy Rain with this link. The same game is also being ported to the PlayStation 4 as well.Heavy-Rain-Screenshot37We also suggest checking out Season 1 and Season 2 of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. The acclaimed games rely on building relationships and alliances with survivors. Both games are also filled with many tough choices, which results in branching baths and different endings, as you try to survive the zombies apocalypse. You can purchase the physical PS4 versions with the following pages: Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1 and Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 2.walking-dead-season-2-screen-zombiepole-684With the above-mentioned complementary products, you should be able to get the most out of one of the most surprising games of 2015.
