All of the above-mentioned figures are primarily for Mario Party: Star Rush, which is also now available. Of course, you will be able to use the same Amiibos in other compatible games from the past and future.
If you haven’t heard already, Nintendo recently announced their next videogame system, the Switch. The platform is advertised as a home system that you can take with you on the go. It also comes with detachable controllers, which enable multiple control options including portable two-player multiplayer using the same screen.
Among the games shown off for the Switch so far includes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a new Mario game, NBA game as well as possible enhanced ports of Splatoon and Mario Kart 8.
The Switch is expected to come out in March of 2017 in North America and many other regions. So, the latest Super Mario Amiibo figures should be compatible with supported Switch games in addition to 3DS and Wii U games.
