The Art of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst pushed back

mirrors_edge_catalystThe release of The Art of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst has been pushed back. We previously reported that the art book is launching on the 23rd of February in 2016. According to a new listing update from Amazon, however, the product is now slated to arrive on the 24th of May in the North American region.

The delay for the book makes sense when you consider that EA DICE recently announced that the videogame will be delayed until May 24th as well. The company explained that more time is needed to improve the quality of the software product as much as possible.

The hardcover art book, which is being published by Dark Horse, features concepts and designs from the videogame. Also featured is commentary from the development team. Since the book will most likely spoil some of the revelations in the game, it makes sense to release The Art of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst simultaneously with the software product. You can preorder the art book here.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is a reboot of the original Mirror’s Edge game, which came out in 2008. The new version will provide open-world environments, streamlined gameplay along with online multiplayer. It will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in addition to the PC platform.
