Top ten upcoming videogame releases to buy in June of 2015

May was a solid month of new releases as gamers got to play Project Cars, Splatoon, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood in addition to the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster. While June may not be as exciting, there are still a few notable releases. Below you can find our list of the top ten upcoming videogame releases in the sixth month of 2015 that you might want to consider buying.

10. J-Stars Victory Vs+

J-Stars Victory Vs+ pits your favorite anime characters (such as Goku from Dragon Ball in addition to Luffy from One Piece) against each other. The western release also comes with an exclusive arcade mode along with enhanced graphics for the PlayStation 4 version. For anime fans, this 3D fighter should be a nice pickup.

9. Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is an action game where you get to play as several bikini-clad samurais going up against zombies and other monsters. It is very violent as you can dismember body parts, causing large amounts of blood. If you are looking for something that don’t itself too seriously, you might want to give the upcoming game a chance.

8. Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy

Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy is from the same studio behind the underrated Demon Gaze. Unlike the fantasy setting of the spiritual predecessor, the upcoming game takes place in the near future. So you might want to check it out if you are a fan of dungeon crawlers and/or the somewhat unique setting.

7. Legend of Kay Anniversary

3D platformers are becoming pretty rare in current times. Fortunately, one of the more underrated games in the genre, Legend of Kay, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 4 and Wii U. Old and new fans can expect better graphics along with a revamped sound design. If you missed out on it the first time around, you should check out the Anniversary version (especially with the low price tag).

6. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend

One of the best fighting games of last-gen, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, has been enhanced for the current-gen. Extend adds new playable characters, modes and gameplay tweaks to an already great experience. Along with the PS4 and Xbox One, the fighter will also be released for the PS3, Vita and PC platforms.

5. Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited

After a long delay, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is finally coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. One positive from the extended wait is that the MMORPG no longer requires a monthly subscription to play. So you don’t have to pay anything aside from the initial cost of the game in order to dive deep into the world of the game.

4. Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

Another remastered release to look forward to in June is Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Along with prettier graphics, fans will be able to play three new characters along with a previously exclusive PC mode where you get to fight more enemies on screen. All these additions make the Special Edition the definitive version of the excellent action game.

3. Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward

The popular Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is getting its first expansion in Heavensward. The massive DLC will raise the level cap while introducing a new playable race and jobs. 2. Heroes of the Storm

Blizzard will be jumping on the massively online battle arena genre with Heroes of the Storm. What makes this game unique when compared to the other games is the ability to play as characters from the Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft series. Needless to say, Blizzard fans should check out the latest project from the acclaimed studio.

1. Batman Arkham Knight

After multiple delays, Batman Arkham Knight is finally ready to launch. The final game in the saga promises to provide an explosive conclusion to popular series. If that wasn’t enough, fans will be able to drive around the Batmobile on the streets of Gotham City. Add in some new abilities and you have yourself what may end up being one of the best releases of 2015.
