Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is one of the most anticipated games of 2016. So it is no surprise to see Square Enix offering a Collector’s Edition and Day One Edition of the software product. So are either of the two releases for the latest Deus Ex installment worth buying? Before you make your decision, let’s check out a few potential factors as to whether or not the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Day One Edition are worth buying.
Pricing
The Day One Edition won’t costs anything extra if you purchase the first print run of the software product. If you are interested, you can order the product with this link on Amazon.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition is quite a bit more expensive when compared to the Day One Edition. With that said, it does come with more contents than the cheaper version. You can find the price tag, and purchase the product if you are interested, with this page.
About the Game
Before discussing the Collector’s Edition and Day One Edition, let’s look a little bit into the game itself. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a direct sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution as players will be able to take numerous lethal and non-lethal routes to complete missions. Of course, they will be able make different actions as well as various dialogue options that will result in branching paths and, ultimately, unique endings.
Adam Jensen, the main character of Human Revolution, returns with a more veteran presence. He will also come equipped with new weapons and augmentations to play with. Also included is a new Breach mode, providing an arcade twist to the traditional action role-playing formula.
Needless to say, you should definitely check out Deus Ex: Mankind Divided if you are a fan of the franchise or role-playing game genre in general.
What’s Included in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Day One Edition
Along with a physical copy of the game, the Day One Edition also comes with several digital extras. These include an official digital soundtrack sampler, extra in-game missions, digital books as well as several covert agent packs. You can check out a promo image of the bundle right underneath this paragraph.
Since the extras are free for those getting the first print run of the game, it would make a lot of sense to purchase it if you are planning on buying the software product at or shortly after launch.
What’s Included in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition comes with everything from the Day One Edition in addition to a few physical bonuses. One of which is a 48-page Titan art book, which will show off the various characters, environments and weapons in the game. Also featured is a steel book case that features Icarus.
The biggest highlight of the bundle, however, is the Adam Jensen Figurine. The miniature statue, which measures at nine inches in height, shows the main protagonist heading into a fire fight with his weapon. You can also see his Titan Shield being activated. All of the aforementioned items are packed inside a black and gold prism collector’s pack.
While the Collector’s Edition is more expensive when compared to the Day One Edition, the bundle does come with more physical items.
