Amazon has updated the listing for the Nyko Type Pad, revealing an updated release date for the PlayStation 4 accessory. Instead of the previously reported May launch, the product is now expected to come out on the 9th of June. If you are interested, the DualShock 4 is available for preorder with this link from the online shopping website.
For the uninformed, Nyko Type Pad is attached to the bottom of the PS4 controller. It can be recharged at the same time as the DualShock 4 via the micro-USB cable. The pad is a fully QWERTY-style as you will be able to punch the texts by using your thumbs. Also included is a small analog nub for navigating the menus. The product is connected to the PlayStation 4 using Bluetooth.
To input texts, gamers previously have to use a virtual keyboard on the PS4’s system menus. The default method is not the most efficient, especially if you are trying to send messages to your friends online through the PlayStation Network. So, if you are the type of gamer who sends a lot of texts while playing the PlayStation 4, you might want to check out the Nyko Type Pad for DualShock 4 when it launches on June 9.
