In Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae, you can find cherished frogs hidden throughout the region. While you may run into some of them, there are a few that are very well concealed. The frogs have an interesting item description, which you can read below:
Frog from fond childhood memories. Never caught more than nine.
Based on that hint, there are ten frogs that you can pick up in Episode Duscae. Our guide provides a detailed walkthrough from the very start of the Final Fantasy XV demo. If you are already a good way into the game and found a few frogs on your own, you can ignore the text and check out the included screens to find the remaining ones. With all that said, you can check out our Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae cherished frogs location guide below.
Cherished Frog #1: From the Deadeye Behemoth wanted sign, go northeast to the Pullmoor Haven campsite (you can set the destination mark here for reference if you trying to pinpoint our exact locations with our screens). From there, go north until you reach the highway and then east until you see a ramp leading up to the road. The frog is located at the base in clear view.
Cherished Frog #2: From the location of the first cherished frog, head up the ramp and then north, crossing the main road. Keep going until you get past the first rock formation and to get to the second one where you can find a frog on the ground.
Cherished Frog #3: Head back south to the highway road and follow it to the northeast (you can also set the destination mark to Coernix Station – Alstar). Explore the shaft located before you reach the gas location to find a frog hidden below a vertical tank.
Cherished Frog #4: Go back to the main road and then continue to head northeast, passing by the Coernix Station Alstar along the way. Head south off the road and into the construction site at the intersection and you will find the next frog in-between the two cylinders.
Cherished Frog #5: Head back to the intersection of main road again and follow it south. Go off-road and towards the shaft to the left when you see it. From there, go northeast to find the frog sitting next to small rock formation.
Cherished Frog #6: After that small side trip, return to the main road and continue heading south (you can now set your destination mark to Digythe Haven if you are following our screenshots). You will eventually run into the next one in the middle of the road, which may by Square Enix’s way to pay homage to Frogger.
Cherished Frog #7: Continue further down the same main road (you can also set your next destination mark to Ausace Haven). You will eventually run into chain-linked fences with the “no entry” sign to the west. From that location head east instead. You should quickly run into a massive rock formation. Go around it to the right and you should find another frog sitting where the soil and rock intersects.
Cherished Frog #8: Afterwards, head to the Killiam Haven (and set the destination mark there). From there, look for a small trail to the south and follow it to the southeast. You will eventually get to the entrance of the Fociaugh Cavern. Instead of going in, explore the area to the right to find the next frog next to some more rocks.
Cherished Frog #9: Now set your destination to Wiz Chocobo Post and head there. At that location, head southeast, past the main road and near the bottom portion of the map. The frog is located next to one of the small rocks in the grasslands there.
Cherished Frog #10: The final frog is hidden inside Mistwood, which is where you go to track down the Deadeye Behemoth. There are two separate ways to get there as you can either follow the path from the Digythe Haven or the Wiz Chocobo Post (you can use your map to find dirt trails if you having problems finding them).
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to get in Mistwood unless you get progress through a certain point during the main “A Behemoth Undertaking” quest. If you haven’t started yet, set your destination to the “Path to Deadeye’s Den” quest hotspot, which is marked with an exclamation mark, and go there. After checking out the footprints, go to the other highlighted areas of the map until the game tells you to head to the spot located to the northeast of the Wiz Chocobo Post. Doing so will let you enter Mistwood.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to fully explore that area until you spy on Behemoth long enough for him to leap over to the next area. Afterwards, you can backtrack to the southeast area of Mistwood to find a small opening that will lead to the last frog (the screen below has the destination marker set to the Wiz Chocobo Post).
Once you got the tenth Cherished Frog, you will get a quest called “Unfrogettable.” Get out of Mistwood one way or another (you should run away from the Behemoth fight if you are facing him for the first time without the Ramuh summon) and then set your destination mark to the Fishing Hole. Head there to set the frogs free (you may have to rest at a camp or caravan first if you did not see a prompt at the location). Completing the “Unfrogettable” quest will give you 8000 experience points for your troubles as well as a small cut scene.
