It looks like the only way to play the upcoming MLB 15: The Show on the PlayStation Vita is through the Sony Entertainment Store. Several major retailers, including Amazon, are not listing a physical release for the handheld game. Instead, they are selling game vouchers for you to download on the digital store. In comparison, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions are getting physical releases.
Being digital-only could be a problem for some Vita owners, especially for those who own either the 4 GB or 8 GB version of the proprietary memory cards. For instance, MLB 13: The Show requires 3.1 GB of free space while MLB 14: The Show uses 3.2 GB. To free up more space, they will have to delete some data or purchase another memory card.
MLB 15: The Show is releasing for the three PlayStation platforms on the 31st of March. For the first time in the series, the videogame will feature licensed equipment. You can also bring over your Franchise and Road to the Show save data from the above-mentioned MLB 14: The Show. On the PlayStation 4 side, the development team also enhanced the lighting effects in addition to adding more personality to the players.
