A new patch is now available for download for the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy IX. The 1.01 version of the game changes the user interface during battles in the Japanese role-playing game. Previously, the menus would take up a big chunk of the screen (this is because the PS4 version is based on the mobile port). The new patch adjusted the sizes of various elements, including commands and HP parameters.
Version 1.01 of Final Fantasy 9 also enable stereo support for the background music. Last but not least, the patch notes also mentioned “various fixes.”
Final Fantasy IX was first released for the original PlayStation on November 13, 2000, in the North American region. The mobile version of the game, which features remastered assets and other features, were released for the iOS and android platforms on February 10, 2016. The PC version, which is based on the mobile version, was released on April 14, 2016.
Final Fantasy IX was announced for the PlayStation 4 during Sony’s media briefing that took place at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The PS4 version, which is also based on the mobile version, was made available for download on September 19, 2017, in the North American region.
