About SNES Classic Edition
Before we start, let’s take a brief overview of the SNES Classic Edition. On the hardware side, the console is a miniature version of the Super Nintendo system that was released in North America many years ago. The aforementioned Final Fantasy III is actually Final Fantasy VI. It was originally called Final Fantasy III in North America as it was the third localized release since Final Fantasy II, III and V was not officially released in English until much later. With the Super NES Classic Edition, Nintendo and Square Enix decided to use the Final Fantasy III name instead of Final Fantasy VI.
Nintendo also added some quality of life features to the Super Nintendo Classic, the most notable of which is being able to rewind time. This is helpful if you are constantly dying in the same spot. Another great feature is being able to create suspend points, which allows you to save at any point in any of the above-mentioned games.

While the Super NES Classic Edition comes with two wired controllers, it may not be a bad idea to purchase another one. This is especially true if you did not enjoy the using the original Super Nintendo controllers.

The Super NES Classic Edition, which has been officially licensed by Nintendo features a six button layout with the L and R shoulder buttons being in the same area as the regular A,B, X and Y face buttons.
