Mathijs de Jonge has commented in regards to Horizon Zero Dawn being released so close to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In a long interview with Financial Post, the game director behind Horizon was asked to give his thoughts about the two somewhat similar games launching just a few days apart.
He responded by saying that Guerilla Games have no control over the situation and that they have been working hard on getting Horizon Zero Dawn to its current state. He also added that he is personally happy with how the PlayStation 4 exclusive is shaping up. You can check out his comments on the subject below:
It’s something we have no control over, so we’ve just been working really hard to get this where it is now. I’m personally very happy how it shaped up and we’ll see how well it does.
Horizon Zero Dawn, which is being developed by the aforementioned Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 28th of February in the North American region. You can preorder Horizon, if you are interested, with this link.
