The PlayStation Store has listed the file size for the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. According to the shopping website, the first-person shooter will take up 40.6 GB on the internal hard disk drive of the console (when viewed from the PS4, the store showed a slightly higher size of 43.6 GB). If you don’t have the bandwidth and/or patience to download the game, you can also preorder the physical version of the software product with this link on Amazon.
As you can tell, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is going to be a massive game in terms of data size. Along with the main campaign, the first-person shooter also comes with a competitive online multiplayer in addition to zombies mode. If you haven’t heard already, Activision decided to team up with Sony this time around, resulting in exclusive bundles, timed-exclusive DLC releases along with exclusive marketing rights.
One of the bundles is a limited edition console that comes with a 1 TB HDD, which doubles the size of the previous units. Gamers can also switch out the default hard drive with a bigger one if they ran out of space due to installing some of the bigger games (such as the aforementioned Call of Duty: Black Ops 3). If you want to upgrade to a bigger hard drive, you should take a look at the OWC DIY 2.0TB Drive Upgrade Bundle for the PlayStation 4 with this link to get all the necessary tools to do so.
