Nintendo has released several products relating to Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Along with the videogame, the first series of the Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards, as well as two bundles, are now available in the North American region. For the uninformed, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer uses compatible Amiibos by adding characters to your game. As a result, you will be able to invite these individuals to hang out or take on special requests. These cards should also be compatible with the upcoming Wii U game, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival.
The regular Nintendo 3DS does not support Amiibo. Thus, you will either need to buy the Nintendo NFC Reader/Writer Accessory or upgrade to a New Nintendo 3DS.
