GameStop has listed what appears to be the release date for the newly-announced Transformers Devastation. According to the shopping website, the action game is expected to come out on the 22nd of September in the North American region. In addition to GameStop, you can also preorder the newest game from the popular franchise with this link on Amazon.
For the uninformed, Transformers Devastation is a new project Platinum Games, the company responsible for stellar action games such as Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, The Wonderful 101 and Vanquish. In the upcoming release, you will be able to play as Bumblebee, Grimlock, Optimus Prime, Sideswipe and Wheeljack. Not to mention that voice actors from the animated series are going to reprise their roles.
In terms of gameplay, the Autobots will be able to transform or half-transform during the middle of an attack combination. There are also five difficulty options that will change the composition of enemies, adding plenty of replay value with the game.
Transformers Devastation was one of the surprise announcements coming from Platinum Games at E3 2015. The company also revealed that they are developing a new Nier game for PS4 with Square Enix in addition to helping Nintendo with the development of Star Fox Zero on Wii U.
