Chris Arbogast has provided an explanation, via a press release sent to us, as to why the newly-available PS4 Type Pad is worth buying. Nyko Technologies’ marketing director first mentioned that the rise of streaming games and eSports participation makes gaming more “collaborative and communicative” than ever before.
Therefore, his company wanted to build something that will make communicating on the PlayStation 4 as easy as when using a PC while gaming. With the rise of game streaming and eSports, gaming has never been more collaborative and communicative. For that, we wanted to create a tool that would let on-screen navigation and multiplayer communication on consoles become as effortless as it is on a PC, all with consideration for the DUALSHOCK 4’s ergonomics.
The Nyko Type Pad is connected to the bottom of the PlayStation 4 controller. The product will allow you to insert texts, including the “.com” and “@” shortcuts. There is also an analog nub to make it easier to navigate menus. Its batteries can be charged simultaneously as the DualShock 4 via a micro-USB cable. Gamers will have the option to turn it off as well.
