The release date has been listed for the recently-announced U.S. release of Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, thanks to a listing from Amazon. For the uninformed, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is the latest project from Nippon Ichi Software. Sohei Niikawa, the president of the company, recently made a controversial comment about NIS possibly shutting down if the sequel did not end up selling well. While the statement has since been retracted as just a joke, there is no doubt that the product is the biggest game coming from the company in 2015.
The new game is the first of the series that is being made specifically for the PlayStation 4. Due to all of the extra horsepower, the developers were able to add more characters on screen. Several new gameplay elements, including more tag team maneuvers, were added too.
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is releasing first in Japan on the 26th of March. So it looks like NIS America needed a little over half a year to translate the massive game for English audiences.
