More screenshots have been revealed for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. If you haven’t done so already, the upcoming PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita JRPG is available for preorder with this page on Amazon. As you can see above, most of the new screens show off the combat system in the role-playing game. There are also several shots that provide a look at some of the locales outside of battle.
Trails of Cold Steel is the first game in the series to take place in Erebonian. Fortunately, you do not have to play the previous installments in order to understand the plot as the upcoming release contain a standalone story.
One of the more interesting aspect is the ability to bond with other students during your school segments in order to gain new abilities in battle. A similar feature was made famous in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is launching later this year on the PS3 and Vita. Amazon has the release date pegged for November 17th in North America.
